How We Began

Built on a belief
that skin is personal

Luminae was founded in 2018 by lead esthetician Mara Solenne after a decade working in clinical dermatology and luxury spa environments. She noticed a gap — the clinical world lacked warmth, and the spa world lacked science.

The result was Luminae: a studio where every client receives a genuine skin analysis, a custom protocol, and treatments administered with the precision of a medical professional and the care of a trusted confidant.

Today, Luminae operates from our West 57th Street studio with a team of four specialists, each holding advanced certifications and a shared obsession with results that last.

    TCA and AHA/BHA peel certification from the Skin Health Alliance, recertified annually.
  • Continuing Education — 40 hrs / year
    Each team member completes a minimum of 40 hours of certified continuing education annually.

    Full compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards for licensed esthetics facilities.
